The Nelson Provincial Museum is a vibrant venue where history, culture, and community come together in the heart of Whakatū.
Located on the corner of Trafalgar and Hardy Streets in the heart of Whakatū, and surrounded by bustling bars and restaurants, the Museum offers a distinctive venue that combines a professional setting with a vibrant cultural atmosphere. Our flexible spaces are ideal for corporate functions, private celebrations, and community gatherings.
The Upper Foyer, Roof Garden, and Education Space are available together as one integrated hire package. Situated alongside the Museum’s ever-changing exhibition programme, these spaces create a dynamic and engaging backdrop that evolves throughout the year. The combination of indoor and outdoor areas provides versatility for a wide range of events, including meetings, workshops, receptions, and private functions.
